Our featured coffee this month is the award-winning Honduras natural from Finca La Bendición in San José, Honduras. Our producer is Sandra Urquía from whom our importer does direct trade. This coffee is of the Parainema variety, grown at 1,395 meters above sea level, and is processed naturally. It boasts a chocolate caramel sweetness, with bright strawberry and citrusy fruit notes. This coffee provides local jobs for women as they hand sort and quality check the beans. This specific lot of Honduran coffee is an award winner, being recognized this year at Cata Aroma y Origen - Cafecultura Marcala 2026. It scored an excellent 86 on the cupping table.

You can experience this Honduran coffee now by purchasing from our in-house roaster’s website at Intrepidcoffeeco.com. When you subscribe to the email list, you get a special 10% off discount!

Our September grand opening is just on the horizon. This month is full of preparation to welcome you through our doors. Construction is finalizing, our equipment is being installed, and we are taking the time to create a bright and ambient environment that matches the quality of our drinks. Cookies and pastries are in the oven as we test a myriad of delicious recipes.

August is packed full for everyone with back-to-school in motion! On Sunday August 9th, the local Gentlemen’s Quarters is inviting families to its Annual Back to School Bash, to offer a day of free resources and fun. If you need an extra pick-me-up to prepare for the new school year, our coffee has got your back. August 9th is also National Book Lovers Day. We can’t wait to welcome you to the back room of our coffee shop that boasts a full wall of golden vintage books for you to cozy up and read this fall, while you enjoy your coffee or tea. Don’t forget to participate in National Relaxation Day on August 15th by treating yourself to a homemade brew.
